Breakfast was abundant and delicious, greatly enjoyed the position.
i stayed here for a weekend and will come back. location: the hotel was short walk to the cathedral and the worth-visiting grao vasco museum, the square right under the window, and the old center of viseu. i tried some drinks at gastropub vissaium taberna, located 5 minutes walk away.

Excellent staff, nothing too much trouble. Huge beds and so comfortable. Rooms vary in size and style of furniture. Excellent location, right in the centre of the medieval old town; plenty of places to eat and drink and shop. Owner is very charming gentleman who enjoys talking to guests and assisted us in planning our various tours around the countryside. A wonderful holiday.

This is a lovely small hotel, previously a 18th century home, tucked away in the main plaza. It is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Parking nearby. The Staff were very friendly and helpful. A delightful place to stay.
We had some difficulty in finding the hotel as we arrived at night and it is actually in the plaza and not on a street.

We liked everything about Casa da Se from the moment I walked in the door. I received a friendly welcome and although it was before check-in, Manuela helped us with our bags and gave us the key to our room, which was beautifully and tastefully done. The bedding was immaculate and perfect for the style of the room It was clean, spacious, there was lots of fresh air if you wanted. The heating or ac system actually worked if you needed it. The breakfast was also wonderful. There were fresh baked cakes everyday in addition to all the other baked goods, breads, cheeses, etc. also fresh squeezed orange juice Ana was also very kind and attentive during our stay. She asked several times if she could get us anything for our son who was not feeling well and was excellent in giving suggestions for day trips. Carla was another wonderful part of the staff. She was very friendly & accomodating. We had less contact with her than Manuela and Ana.
The bathroom was quite small, but I do realize that this hotel was an old house and was totally restored leaving the original layout, doors, windows, etc the same. So, it is understandable that it was small.

The ladies are very friendly. A good atmosphere and a surprising renovated familyhouse in the heart of the old city. The decorations with all kind of antiquities.
As last minute booking the only available room was samll and the bathroom was not as private as we wanted.

The staff was extremely nice - one of the best I have ever seen - and made wonderful suggestions about the city and the region! The house is an old restored mansion, very beautiful and cosy. Is 30 seconds walk from the square (Adro da sé) were you have the main attractions of Viseu: cathedral, Museum Grao Vasco, and Igreja da Misericórdia.
